David Charles Vance

David Charles Vance, born on December 4, 1959, in Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on the night of Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, following a brief illness. He was 65 years old.

David lived a life filled with love, adventure, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and resilience. As the owner and operator of DV Lawn Service and a property manager for several homes in the Mt. Hebron area of Henderson County, North Carolina, David was a hardworking and reliable figure in his community. His work was a testament to his commitment to excellence and his unwavering work ethic.

Having been of the Christian faith, he had a deep love for the great outdoors, finding joy and peace in activities like hiking, camping, fishing, and cycling. These pursuits reflected his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for the natural world around him. David was also an avid football fan and an enthusiastic supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs. But above all, he cherished his family, who were the true pride and joy of his life.

David is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Roy Vance and Mary Burleson.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Rosemary Vance; his two daughters, Jamie Craig and Alissa Craig; his cherished granddaughter, Kaylee Murphey; and his great-grandson, Jakari Shands. He also leaves behind his brother, Danny Vance (Donna); and his close friends, Quay Henderson, Reubin Maxwell and his family, and Brett Bailey and his family. His loyal canine companion, Polo, will undoubtedly miss his presence.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountain View Cremation & Funeral Care in Arden.

David Charles Vance touched the lives of many with his warmth, humor, and unwavering love. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him to live life fully and cherish every moment.
