Our beloved King David Watts Sr passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Born April 13, 1963, in Statesboro, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ruby Dell Watts Stowbridge. At a young age, David joined Mt Olive Baptist Church with his late grandmother Beatrice Watts.
David's vivacious spirit and infectious smile lit up every room. From his early days in Bulloch County School System, he created cherished memories and friendships. His passion was his painting career, and he enhanced family gatherings with boundless energy. He truly embodied the phrase life of the party.
Known for his outgoing and outspoken nature, David was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His kindness touched many hearts, and he will be remembered as a cherished son, significant other, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Dell Watts Stowbridge, grandmother Beatrice Watts, and grandfather Jack Watts.
"Dee Dee" as he was known to many, is survived by his significant other Geraldine Green; children, Robert Wallace of Statesboro, GA, David Watts Jr, Arianna Greene-Godbee of Savannah, GA; siblings, Doreen Harley, Brenda Watts, Christopher Heath (Virginia) all of Statesboro; extended children, Tanya Watts (Mike), Jackleen Watts Ruth (Calvin), Christy Harley, Andrew Harley, Weldon Watts, Victor Banner; brothers Kenny Austin, Larry Rogers, Lawrence Brown; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and cherished family.
A celebration of Life Service for David Watts, Sr., will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, March29, 2025, at the Ben Samuel Hill Memorial Chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. with the Rev. Maurice Hill, officiating.
Final rites have been entrusted to Hill's Mortuary, Inc.
