David Paul "Tank" Weatherington, 68, of Gaston, SC passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Funeral services will be held at four o'clock p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2025 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with burial to follow in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.

Born in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Julius Weatherington and Ethel Driggers Weatherington. He was a 1977 graduate of "The Rock" St. Andrews High School in Charleston, SC; for 30 years he has worked at F & D Electrical Contractors where he was a Senior Electrical Estimator. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and was the Vice-President of the C-3 Car Club. Peaches and Darla were his beloved Boston Terriers who miss him deeply.

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Denise Cribb Weatherington; daughters, Sheba (Chris) Pennington of Aiken, SC, Anna Mishoe (Jeremy) Toney of Pelion, SC, Ashley Mishoe Meggs (Patrick) of Pelion, SC; sons, Donnie Weatherington of Gaston, SC and William "Billy" Black of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Caleb, Courtney, Olivia, Carol, Sarah, Joshua, Seth, Charlotte and Zoie; great grandchildren Adelina, Theodore, Kinsley, Wyatt, Barrett, Wayne, Bentley, Emery and Luna.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Branham Weatherington; sisters, Pauline and Mozelle; a brother, Johnny; a granddaughter, Skylar Pennington; his Boston Terriers, Babe and Gracie.
