David White, Sr. Obituary
David Michael White, Sr. age 64 passed away Friday at his home. He is the son of Phyllis Head White and the late James P. White. He was preceded in death by his son David Michael White Jr on February 23, 2019.
He is survived by his son Jordan Dean White and grandson Skye Jackson White of Chattanooga, TN his brother James Steven White, SR, and his mother Phyllis Head White both of Dalton, 5 nephews and 1 niece and cousins also survive.
David graduated from Dalton High School in 1977 and attended Dalton Jr. College for 1 year and was on the Dean's list. He then transferred to the University of Georgia and graduated in June 1982.
He went to work for Galaxy Carpet in January 1983 and moved to Jacksonville, FL. He worked until September 1985 and moved to Plantation Florida and worked for Philadelphia Carpet until October 1987 when he moved back to Dalton and joined Challenger Industries, Inc. until his retirement in 2019.
The service will be on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 3 pm in the River Community Church 825 Chattanooga Ave in the Weaving Room with Rev. Dr. Brian Clark officiating. Visitation will start at 1 pm until 3.
The Family asks that flowers be omitted and donations be made to the River Community Church P.O. Box 6439, Dalton, GA 30722, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38148.
