David Lawrence White

David Lawrence White, 78, of Pampa, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 30th, 2024, at his home. He was born the oldest of six children to Leonard and Rosemary White in Bismarck, North Dakota.
David attended Pampa Schools and following graduation from Pampa High, attended Texas Tech where he graduated with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. He was quite a brilliant man and had a vast number of interests. He dabbled in many different occupations throughout his life which included a schoolteacher, a mechanic, a computer tech, and he even taught gardening to kids on a TV show in Dallas called "Peppermint Patty's".
Aside from working, David had numerous hobbies, but his favorites were gardening, restoring vintage cars – mostly his baby blue 1965 Cadillac, riding his bicycle all over town and attending the movies every Thursday night so he could critique each one his own way! He's probably best known for his HAM Radio operating skills which has enabled him to converse with people all over the world.
David was your typical hippie era guy as he was easy-going and laid back. Not much seemed to bother him and he was so frugal it was comical. However, there were none more outgoing and people oriented than him. He loved conversations and genuinely took people's words to heart. He will be missed so greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard White and an infant brother.
Those remaining to remember his mellow attitude and cherish his memories are his mother, Rosemary White of Gypsum, CO; four siblings, Edward White of Lakewood, CO, Theodore "Ted" White of Brazil, Jackie Marchetti and husband Kenneth, Andalyn Therrien all of Gypsum, CO and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
