TIPTON-David Lee Williams, age 88, of Tipton passed away December 16, 2024 at home. He was born to Ernest and Phyllis (Outman) Williams on April 20, 1936 in Adrian, MI. He married Jane Hargrave on June 4, 1955. They celebrated 69 wonderful years together.
Dave served the City of Tecumseh for 42 years working his way up to Street Superintendent, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Dave was also a lifelong Farmer, another job he thoroughly enjoyed. Dave was in partnership with his son Brad (Williams Farms) milking cows for many years, crop farming, and followed by raising beef cattle. Dave attended Gateway Community Church in Onsted. He will be greatly missed by his family.
Surviving him besides his wife Jane, are his three children, Bradley (Melinda) Williams and Susan (Victor) Whitehead both of Tipton, and Bennett (Teresa) Williams of Wylie, TX. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Kim (Derek) Atkinson, Andy (Lauren) Williams, Chelsie (Dave) Holmes, Harley, Hailey and Hayden Whitehead, Devin (Cameron) McCrary, and Callie Whitehead (deceased); and eight great-grandchildren, Josiah, Abe, Silas, Asher, Eloise, Olive, Chase and Jackson. He is also survived by a sister, Sherry Drennan and one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Williams) Frederick.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Milton (Dorothy) Williams and Dale Williams; a brother-in-law, Terry Drennan; and a nephew, Darin Drennan.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. A funeral service for David will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Tom McMichael officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh.
Memorial contributions in honor of Dave are suggested to benefit Gateway Community Church or Hospice of Lenawee. Friends can express sympathies to the family online by visiting the tribute wall at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
