Inez Williams

In the radiant glow of life, we celebrate the remarkable journey of Inez Loretta Williams, affectionately known as 'Nana'. Born on July 11, 1954, Inez chose to spend her 71 years on this earth embracing those around her with compassion, creativity, and dedication. She was a nurturer by nature, which manifested in her profession as a children's educator. Her love for children extended beyond her job at the childcare center; it was a life-long passion. Inez was a cornerstone of her community in Seaford, Delaware, and left a significant imprint on the hearts of everyone she met. She transitioned from this earth on July 24, 2025.
Inez was a loving soul, who held a deep and enduring love for God, her family, and her pet dog, Kizzy. As a seasoned traveler and a New York native, she brought a vibrant energy into her residence in Seaford, Delaware. Inez's creative spirit shone through her hobbies of crafting, sewing, painting, and puzzles. Always happy to share her passions, she would often be found crafting with her grandchildren and teaching them the joy of creating something with their own hands. Inez was the proud recipient of the 'Best Nana Ever Award', a testament to her unconditional love and dedication to her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfonso Johnson and Jeanette Durr, her husband Elbert Williams, and her sister Marian Saunders. Inez leaves behind a loving family who will continue her legacy; sister, Brenda Carver (Rudolph), Paula Thomas (Rufus Sr.), Iesha Dawson, and Kiera Benson, Jeffrey Benson Jr. (Precious), DaRon Benson, Azariah Dawson, Kaelynn Henry, Eli Taylor, and Shania Pitts, and a host of nieces and nephews. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Inez's loving spirit and the warmth she brought into the world will forever be remembered.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 12:00 pm EDT at McPherson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc located at 11475 Commercial Lane, Laurel, Delaware, 19956.
