Leon "June Boy" Russell Bolden peacefully transitioned from this life into eternal rest on August 20, 2025, at the age of 77 with his devoted wife at his bedside. Leon was born April 17, 1948, at Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford, DE to Mary Bolden Batson and the late Leon Waters.

His early childhood years he went to Frederick Douglas for two years ad later transferred to Hurlock Elementary School until 3rd grade. Leon attended Mace's Lane High School and graduated in 1966. Leon was drafted in the United States Army at the age of 20. He served in Vietnam and was later honorably discharged. After serving time in the U.S. Army, Leon started working in fields picking cucumbers and tomatoes. He was employed at Acme Markets for a short time and later retired from PET Poultry in Bridgeville, DE.

Leon married the love of his life Diane Daniels, on February 14, 1994. Leon loved "Fast Cars" and loved to drive fast. He had a "Need for Speed". So he loved a "Hemi" under the hood. His past time was watching TV. His favorites were Westerns- Gunsmoke and Texas Walker Ranger. Leon loved hats, he could be seen wearing different logos, and teams. He did not play about his fashion, he knew he was "cool". Leon loved to go out to eat with his wife and sometimes he would enjoy a meal alone. He ate at PK's so much that they knew him by name.

Leon had a "Big Heart". He would help anybody regardless of who they were. He always took care of home first. All the kids called him "Pop-pop". He loved all his grandkids, Noree was pop-pop boy. He would always be there for Pop-pop to help him. Leon loved his church family also.
