In the heart of our community, Kevin Deon Dorsey, affectionately known as "Kev," was a humble beacon whose radiance enriched the lives of those he encountered. Born on November 1, 1982, in Lewes, Delaware, Kev lived a full life of 42 years, leaving us with memories that echo with laughter and warmth. Kev, a man of reliability and thoughtfulness, was a precious gem who illuminated this world with his humor, kindness, and genuine love for family and friends.
In his professional life, Kev was a loyal employee at Mountainaire Poultry for a decade. His dedication to his work was as commendable as his love for his hobbies. A sports enthusiast, shoe collector, and music lover, Kev was a man of many passions. His presence at car shows was as constant as his dedication to his family, friends, and the memorial tree that flourished under his care. Kev was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He loved taking his dogs for car rides and being a father figure to those in his life. His zest for life was contagious; it drew people to him and created a bond that was deeply rooted in mutual respect and love. As Mother Teresa once said, "The most important thing is family and love," and this was a motto Kev lived by.
Kevin is survived by his loving parents, Alexander and Linda Dorsey, his caring siblings, Octavia, Quentina (Kenneth), Laquita, Alexander, and Bradley. He also leaves behind a host of relatives who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Mary Jackson, his aunt Gladys(Quinn), his grandmother Malissa Dorsey, his uncle Ronnie Jackson and his grandfather Richard McCray, and his best friend Earl Mumford. Each of these individuals held a special place in Kev's heart, and their memories will continue to live on through him.
