On July 7, 2025, we bid farewell to a loving soul, Delece Jules. Born on October 15, 1958, in Jacmel, Haiti, Delece was a beacon of thoughtful compassion, unwavering reliability, and unfettered courage. His life journey led him from the vibrant sights and sounds of Port-au-Prince, Haiti to the serene shores of Seaford, Delaware. His presence, like a melody, resonated within the walls of his home, his workplace, and his beloved church. "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7). This verse encapsulated Delece's approach to life - he was a testament to the power of love, courage, and self-control.
Delece was a man of many talents. His dedication to his work in construction and general labor at the Mountaire Farms in Millsboro was unparalleled, and he brought a unique finesse to his craft until his retirement in 2021. His colleagues knew him as a reliable and hardworking individual, always ready to lend a hand. Beyond the hard hat and steel-toed boots, Delece was an avid participant in political discussions, his insightful views and thought-provoking ideas always leaving a lasting impression. His voice was not just heard but felt, resonating with passion and authenticity.
At church, Delece found a different kind of solace. Playing the tambourine, he created rhythms that echoed his love for Christ, his music as heartfelt as his faith. His commitment to his church and his faith were defining aspects of his personality. Delece's love for his family was paramount. He is survived by his son, Jean Philippe Jules,Jean Junior Jules and Daniel Jules who inherited his father's loving spirit and strong sense of duty. Delece is preceded in death by his father, Jean Russier Jules, and his mother, Zoute Jeune, who instilled in him the virtues that guided his life.
As we remember Delece, we invite you to share your memories, stories, and photographs on his memorial page. Your contributions will help us celebrate the remarkable life of this extraordinary man. May his courage inspire us, his love warm us, and his memory live on in our hearts forever.
