David Fay Wilson

David Fay Wilson, of Aurora, IL, was unexpectedly lost on January 15, 2026.
He was born in Ovid, MI, on February 26, 1937. He attended grade school and high school in Detroit, MI.
David attended Brigham Young University and later transferred to Wayne State University, where he met Carol, his beloved wife. They were married at Our Lady of Sorrows in Farmington, MI, on November 21, 1959.
While supporting his wife and children, David worked at General Motors, steadily advancing from programmer to Executive Vice President of Operations. He later joined McDonald's Corporation, where he held several senior roles, including leading the implementation of 24 distributed processing centers across the continental United States, Canada, Hawaii, and Australia-work that often took him abroad, with Carol frequently by his side.
At age 65, David entered a well-earned retirement, enjoying travel and golf until his sudden passing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ann Wilson; his children: David (Kathy) Wilson, Chris (Janice) Wilson, Lynn (Mike) Tigges, and Todd (Maria) Wilson ; eight grandchildren (Matthew, Charles, Meggan, Bradley, Melissa, Mary, Michelle and Helena); and four great-grandchildren (Jonathan, Cooper, Elizabeth and Alexander).
A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 8S055 Dugan Rd., Sugar Grove, IL 60554. A funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation, at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, David requested that donations be made in his name to your favorite charity.
