Dave had a huge impact on me.
Two things amongst many, stand out. He bought our robot. He told me over breakfast the reason was that what he liked most about our robot is it is the only robot on the market where there is no common chute.
In every other robot pills drop into a common chute whereas our Pills drop straight from the canister into the blister. This means each patient avoids getting a little bit of everyone else´s medication. That´s the attention to detail I admired.
Second was his approach to customer service and attention to the little things. I wish I could remember his words exactly but it was to the effect if you take care of the little things then the big things take care of themselves.
I was in his office when he was dealing with an unhappy customer. Rather than have one of his staff take the call he took it and resolved the issue leaving the customer delighted. That is how he did business. And when he took me through his operation he spoke to everyone with respect which is why everyone loved him.
I would like to think I follow those same values. He had a huge influence on me. He was a very special person.
If you can pass on my condolences to his family I would appreciate it.
Regards

Briefly met David in Pharmacy school as he was a graduating senior at the new location in Lexington after leaving the Louisville area. He epitomized what professionals should aspire to be both in stature and demeanor. As junior classmen we always looked up to those who had attained a senior status. Now 86, and being, at age 20, the youngest pharmacist to receive licensing in state of Kentucky I can reflect back to those, like David, who accomplished the pinnacle of success in lifes' endeavors.

Most of my career was working for a company, SeniorCare LLC, which Dave was an owner and then later for the Pharmacy. Dave was kind, humble and led with integrity. He treated his employees with the utmost respect and truly valued everyone. He was one of a kind!
