David L. Yosick, age 78, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, in his home, early Friday, December 19, 2025, following a period of declining health.
Born in Dover on September 9, 1947, David was a son of the late Felix and Mary (Sparkes) Yosick.
David served the US Army and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his time of service, he began a career as a mechanic and truck driver. He retired from Tucson, Inc. in New Philadelphia.
In his free-time he enjoyed camping and fishing. You could also find David tending his garden or enjoying a BBQ with family and friends. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
David will be missed by his children, Rodney Yosick of New Philadelphia, Holly and husband Leno Gonzales of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Patty and husband Roy Miller of Ratliff City, Oklahoma, and Steven Yosick of Anadarko, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rachele Yosick, Eric Yosick, Kandess and husband Kevin Botone, Lena and husband Matthew Topaum, Jace and fiancé Diane Gonzales, Amber Jones, April and husband Jeremiah Sales, Steve and wife Nisa Miller, J.D. and wife Kim Miller, Jordan Yosick, and Taylor McKinney; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma and husband Rick Breehl of Mineral City, and Nancy Copeland of New Philadelphia; brothers, Clifford Yosick of New Philadelphia, Dale Yosick of New Philadelphia, Felix Yosick, Jr. of Bowerston, Richard Yosick of New Philadelphia, and Frank and wife Cindy Yosick of New Philadelphia; 4 nieces; and 3 nephews..
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation care has been entrusted to the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will host a celebration of his life at a later time.
