Davis Gilbert Brunty, 78, of Pence Springs went home to be with the Lord Saturday, September 6, 2025, at CAMC General Hospital following a short illness.
Born December 20, 1946, at Matheny he was the son of the late Fred and Verna Green Brunty. Davis was a member of the Pence Springs Community Church where he always greeted you with kindness, a smile and a piece of candy. The love and kindness he showed everyone was not just at the church but everywhere he went. A graduate of Oceana High School and Kishwaukee College he lived for many years in Boulder Hill, IL and was employed in a nearby factory as a painter and after retirement he moved back to Pence Springs.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Gail Brunty and his second wife June Brunty.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, John Brunty and wife Jennifer; two grandchildren, Tyler Brunty and Abigail Brunty; two brothers, Arlie Brunty and wife Vicky and Fred Brunty and wife Kathy; two sisters, Sharon Snider and Carol Hill and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Pence Springs Community Church with Pastor Roger Persinger officiating. Friends may call from Noon until service time on Saturday at the Church.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pence Springs Community Church, 449 Boom Hollow Road, Alderson, WV 24910.
