Dawn Montgomery Brophy, age 56 of Sayreville, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at her home. Born in McKeesport, PA, Dawn had lived in Sayreville for the past 30 years. Before her retirement, Dawn worked as a chiropractic receptionist for several years. She was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and United States Air Force Reserve. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.

Dawn was dedicated to community service, volunteering as a member of the Truman Elementary School P.T.O, a board member of the Sayreville Athletic Association, the Treasurer for the Sayreville Leprechaun's Pop Warner team, a member of the Sayreville Bomber's Touchdown Club, a volunteer of the superstorm Sandy Relief Center in Sayreville, and in acknowledgement of her continued volunteer service she received the Old Bridge-Sayreville-South Amboy Chamber of Commerce award for Volunteer of the Year in 2014.

She is predeceased by her mother Elaine Montgomery and her brother Robert Montgomery.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 37 years, Kevin Brophy, her cherished children Vox and her partner Mae, Carissa and her fiancé Charlie, and Curio, her father Robert Montgomery, her sisters Jane Montgomery, Deanne Rymarowicz and her husband Steve, her brother Todd Montgomery and his wife Joy and many other loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 9:45am from the funeral home with a 10:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories. A private cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dawn's name may be made to Canine Companions (https://canine.org/) and Point of Pride (https://www.pointofpride.org/).
