Dawn "Mimi" Hand

Hand – Dawn Michelle Hand, age 56, of Bryceville, Florida went to her Heavenly home on September 20, 2025, at Community Hospice Douglas Center for Caring with her loving family by her side. Dawn was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 30, 1969, to her loving parents, William "Bill" Wolff and Marie Crews Wolff. Dawn was raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Victory Christian Academy in 1987. While in school, Dawn fell in love with best friend and lifelong companion, Randall Wade Hand. The two were happily married on April 16, 1988, and were blessed with 37 wonderful years together, four children, and seven precious grandchildren. Dawn's greatest joy was her family, and she cherished her role as wife, mother, and especially "Mimi." Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life, and she delighted in every moment spent with them. As a devoted homemaker she dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones and extending kindness to others. Dawn was a woman of deep faith and a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She served all of her adult life as a Sunday School teacher with the most recent years being at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Bryceville, where she was a longtime active member. She also helped out with local ministries helping kids and mothers in need. When not tending to her family or church family, Dawn spent her time during Election seasons working as a clerk. She loved voting and encouraged others to exercise their right to vote, believing in the importance of civic engagement. Dawn was certainly a treasure to all she knew. She was greatly loved and will be forever missed.

Dawn is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Randall "Randy" Hand of Bryceville, FL; parents, Bill and Marie Wolff of Bryceville, FL; children, Brent (Sheila) Hand of Jacksonville, FL, Mariah (Jordan) Rountree of Callahan, FL, Gabrielle (Nick) Volpitta of Callahan, FL, Drew Hand (Alyssa Pearson) of Bryceville, FL; brother, Kevin (Nikki) Wolff of Callahan, FL; sisters, Valerie (Elmo) Aquino of Jacksonville, FL, Danielle (Shane) Stewart of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Victoria Hand, Chloe Hand, Locklan Rountree, Finn Rountree, Jesper Rountree, Genevieve Volpitta, Lincoln Volpitta, along with many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Dawn's Life will be held on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 9777 Ford Road, Bryceville, FL 32009 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Joey Rountree officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Dawn to City Rescue Mission www.crmjax.org, Angel Tree Prison Fellowship www.prisonfellowship.org, Samaritan's Purse www.samaritanspurse.org. Private Interment will be held at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
