John Creamer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferreira Funeral Services (Jacksonville) on Jan. 26, 2026.
John Timothy Creamer, known as "Tim" born September 14, 1953, in Jacksonville, Florida, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Tim was a lifelong member of Parkwood Baptist Church, where his faith guided his life and the way he treated others. He was a United States Army veteran, a role he carried with quiet honor.

For many years, Tim was the owner of Tim's Barber Shop in Arlington, where he built more than a business-he built friendships. Known for his warm smile, steady presence, and genuine care for his customers, his barbershop was a place of conversation, laughter, and community. He retired in 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and service. Tim loved the outdoors and found joy on the golf course and in the ocean, where surfing brought him peace. In his later years, he developed a special tenderness for animals. He never turned away a stray, often finding himself with unexpected visitors at his front door-each one fed and cared for, a reflection of his kind and generous heart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lynn Creamer; his daughter Krista (John) Szewczyk; his sons Scott Smith and Steven Smith; and his cherished grandchildren Robert Szewczyk, Ashley Szewczyk Dorminey, Nickolas Szewczyk, and Scotty Smith. He was a proud great-grandfather to Rowan Szewczyk, Jackson Dorminey, Adam Szewczyk, and Isaac Szewczyk. Tim is also survived by his sister Janice (Gary) Parnaby, niece Laura (Jason) Varnell, nephew Gary (Gina) Parnaby, and many great-nieces and great-nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Louise Creamer and John Milton Creamer.

Tim will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, brother a faithful friend, and a man whose humor and kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be announced soon and all are welcome. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ferreira Funeral Services, 1320 Chaffee Road South, Jacksonville, FL, 32221, 904-378-7777.
