Dawn Kishore

AUBURN - Dawn Winant Kishore, 79, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025. She is predeceased by her mother Elizabeth (Taber) Winant-Relle and father William Winant of Albany, NY.

A graduate of Guilderland, NY High school, class of 1964, she enrolled in the nursing program at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. During her studies there, she enrolled in the US Navy. Upon completion of her nursing degree, she served with distinction in the Navy until 1971. During her service she was stationed in Guam during the height of the Vietnam War and spent many hours comforting and caring for critically wounded soldiers who were flown to the island for treatment.

Upon completion of her service, Dawn returned to the Albany, NY area and embarked on a long-time career as a psychiatric nurse at the Albany VA Hospital.

In addition to her career, Dawn was passionate about God, family, traveling, mystery novels, and rare collectibles.

She leaves a daughter Antonia Cambareri of Albany, NY, a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Donna Winant of Worcester, MA, a nephew Thomas of Worcester, MA and a niece and nephew-in-law Stephanie and Thomas of Auburn, MA with whom she lived with since 2021.

The family would like to thank the VA of Central Western Massachusetts in-home care team for the care and support they provided, going above and beyond for a woman who spent her life taking care of others and serving her country
