Dawn was born in Wayne County, Michigan, on July 11, 1975, to Carol Carson Chavez of Chester and the late Ernesto Chavez. She was 49 years old.
Dawn was a loving wife and homemaker, forming a lasting bond with her husband Michael, who survives at home. She possessed a caring and giving heart, contributing her talents and treasures to help others. One of her favorite passions was helping the Hancock County Sheriff's Department with the annual shop with a cop program.
Left with fond memories is her husband, Michael, whom she married on June 5, 2010. Also, she leaves their black lab, Bear. In addition to her mother Carol, two sisters, Nichole Murphy of Michigan, and Abigale Chavez, and fiancée, Damion Kernen of Colliers, sisters-in-law, Shayley (Mark) Pasquarelli and Jordan (Hugh) Tate, in-laws, Dean and Michelle McElfresh, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Dawn is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester, where no services are planned.
