Mr. Dean Grant Fogg April 24, 1951 – April 4, 2023
Lexington, KY – Dean G. Fogg, age 71, passed peacefully amongst loved ones on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023. He was born in East Saint Louis, Illinois to Dale and Blanche (Chambers) Fogg. He was raised in Winchester Springs, Tennessee until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1971 – 1975. Upon completion of his military service, he moved to Lexington, KY where he earned an associate degree in Electronics at Lexington Technical Institute. His education sparked his passion into television broadcasting where he started an internship with UKTV. He then moved on to work as broadcast engineer at WKYT-TV for the next 16 years. He eventually moved into mobile broadcasting in which he traveled all over North America, helping put on productions which included sports championships, the Olympics, entertainment awards, and presidential events. Making lifelong friends from all over the country. Dean was a member of Broadway Christian Church and served as a volunteer with The Bread of Life outreach. His hobbies included camping, fishing, and beekeeping. His latest passion was spending time with all his grandchildren. Dean is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan Fogg; his 2 sons Christopher (Nicole), Andrew (Chandis); daughter Lauren Middleton; and his grandchildren Payton (11), Evelyn (7), Colt (7), Elwood (6), Cora (5), Adaline (4), Anne (3), and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his 8th grandchild, Michael; 2 sisters Susan J. and Deena Fogg; Sister-in-law Janice Berryman (John Melita); Brother-in-law Danny Hester (Kim).
A Memorial Service and a visitation will be held at Kerr Brother's Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513. The memorial service is on Wednesday, April 12th, at 10:30 AM. Visitation is Tuesday, April 11th from 6 to 8 PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Broadway Christian Church, Bread of Life, or The Lexington Rescue Mission.
