Dean is my cousin, along with Darrel, Dana and Darwin. My dad, Marvin Grue and Dean´s dad, Reuben (nickname Shorty) were brothers and best friends. As young kids Darrel, Dana and Dean spent many times together playing with myself and brother Glen at our home in Bloomington, MN. Fun times. Ended too soon with the sudden death of my Uncle Reuben of a heart attack. Dean´s dad was my favorite uncle - was a lot of fun, big hearted and had a hearty chuckle. I´m thinking Dean probably received some of those qualities. Reuben was a Bronze Star recipient from duty in the Korean War. So Dean and his dad both served their country! That thrilled me, and would have his dad.
My condolences to wife Carol and entire family. Sorry for his early passing. I can see he had a very full life! I have done quite a bit of genealogy of our Grue family from Norway, should anyone want to know grand, great grand and great great grandparents names. Most resided in the Fergus Falls and surrounding towns.
Contact me if any family member wants ancestry info. ([email protected])
Hugs for you all. So very sorry! Nancy Ann (Grue) Eidem, Minneapolis (Savage).
