Avon Lake
Dean R. Kelble, 96, of Avon Lake and formerly of Berlin Heights, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025. He was born January 8, 1929, in Cleveland, the son of Albert and Carrie (nee Goodsite) Kelble.
Dean grew up in Berlin Heights and was a 1947 graduate of Berlin Heights High School, a 1952 graduate of The Ohio State University, and a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. He learned the value of hard work alongside his father and uncles at the family-owned Kelble Bros. Meats. Dean met his future wife, Martha Koch, while he would make deliveries to the local grocery store in Lorain owned by her parents. They were married in Lorain February 12, 1955. Dean worked for Lorain Products as a senior sales engineer for more than 30 years. He was a member of Golden Crescent Chorus, Photography Clubs, Rocky River Senior Center, and Avon Lake UCC.
Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Martha Kelble; loving children, Kathleen Carande (Richard), Tamara Westbrook (Grant), and Dean Kelble Jr. (Doreen); ten cherished grandchildren; eight dear great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, William Boggs.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Boggs; and his parents.
Memorial donations in honor of Dean can be made to Avon Lake United Church of Christ Music Department.
Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Avon Lake United Church of Christ, 32801 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake, OH 44012, with visitation following. www.buschcares.com 440-933-3202
