Dean M. O'Connor, 78 Dean M. O'Connor, 78, of Sayre, a man of humble pride and unwavering resilience, entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2025. Born on May 4, 1947, in Sayre, Pennsylvania, Dean's life was a testament to the adventurous spirit he embodied. Dean was born In Sayre on May 4th 1947 a son to the late Martin and Leila O'Connor. Dean proudly and honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam war. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." This quote, in essence, encapsulates Dean's life. His internal strength and humble character were his guiding forces, enabling him to lead a life that was both fulfilling and inspiring. In his personal life, Dean was a constant loving father to his son Scotty O'Connor and daughter Pamela Nearing, along with continued love for his distant sons Kevin O'Connor and Jeffrey O'Connor. He was the cherished life partner to Cora Plouse and loving step-father to her children: Jennifer Plouse, Stephanie Jordan, Charlotte Hamlin and Roxanne Eberlin. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother Danny O'Connor and sister Doris Cooper, along with countless grandchildren and great grandchildren, and of course, his feathered best friend Sky. His relationships were built on the foundation of his innate reliability, making him a steadfast presence in their lives. Dean was preceded in death by his loving parents, Martin and Leila O'Connor, along with brothers David O'Connor and Dale O'Connor. His memory will forever be treasured by those he left behind, a testament to a life well-lived and a man greatly loved. Per Dean's wishes all services will be private with interment in the Camptown Cemetery. Caring assistance provided by Cooley Tioga Point Cremation and Burial Options.
