Dean was born on October 1, 1942, in Lake Andes, South Dakota to Welton and Anna Storm Wendt and passed from this life on January 26, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.
Dean married Sandretta Musgrove on April 14, 1965, in Gardnerville, Nevada. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy for 30 years before his retirement.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandretta Wendt; sons, John Wendt (Carolyn), and Eric Wendt (Wendy); brother, Dale Wendt; grandchildren, Cassy Fernandes (Tyler), Rachel Ebert (Daniel), Justin Wendt, and Andrew Wendt; and great-grandchildren, Elinor Ebert and Liam Fernandes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Wilma Wendt, and Adeline Whetham; and brothers, Wilmer Wendt, and Richard Wendt.
