MILFORD-Dean Allen Wratten, age 60, of Milford, passed away on February 17, 2022, with his loving family at his side.
Dean was born on June 14, 1961, in Utica, son of Dewey H.Wratten and the late Sandra F. (Sherman) Wilbert. He was raised in Richfield Springs and graduated from Richfield Springs Central School with the class of 1979.
For over 40 years, Dean worked for Great American Grocery Stores. A valuable and diligent employee with the company, he worked in several locations as both Produce and Meat Department Manager.
Dean was known as a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor, and could often be seen wearing his trademark Hawaiian shirt. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Dean was creative and could build anything that he envisioned, including a garage and stone walls for his flower beds. He enjoyed traveling and snowmobiling, and had a keen interest in classic cars. Another joy in his life was his family of pets, Pudgie, Oliver and Ginger.
Dean is survived by his wife, Jenna, his father Dewey, his children, Heather Wratten, (Haley) Wratten, Justin (Haley) Wratten, Ryan (Jessica) Wratten; brothers, John (Lynda) Wratten, and Todd Wratten; grandchildren, Jacob Bennett, Aliza Burdick, Amanda Burdick, Parker Miller, Keegan Wratten, Madison Wratten, Arienna Wratten, Grayson Wratten, Noah Wratten. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Barbara and Jan Bartow. He was predeceased by his mother Sandra and step-father Lyle Wilbert, his brother Bobby Sherman and nephew, Johnny Wratten.
Calling hours will be from 1-3 with a service to follow on Saturday, March 19th at J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 W. James St. Richfield Springs. Burial will be held in the spring.
