Deanna Jacobs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anderson McQueen Funeral Homes on Dec. 8, 2025.
Deanna, 87, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully October 25th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Jeri Henderson and her brother Butch, all Florida natives.

Born in Tampa, Florida in 1938, she was raised in Lakeland and moved to St. Petersburg in 1962 where she and her children's dad, settled on Maple street NE building a new home.

She earned two master's degrees-one in Education and another in Mental Health Counseling. She was truly brilliant and dedicated more than 30 years to education in Pinellas County before beginning a second career as a Christian counselor through the Network of Christian Counseling, where she founded the Good Grief Group helping others find comfort and healing from their loss. She was active in the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

A lifelong learner, she somehow managed to be a Gator, Nole, Mocsie, Cardinal, and Shark-attending all those colleges along the way. Education wasn't just her career; it was her calling!

She is survived by her daughter, Dee Fuller McMahon; her son, Walter H. Fuller (Andi); granddaughters Kendall, Sophia, and Rory.

She is now free at last from the pain of this world and from the cruel grasp of dementia. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and reunited with those who went before her. Her memory and her love will live on within us.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on January 3rd, at 11:00 am at St Thomas Episcopal Church. 1200 Snell Isle Blvd. St. Petersburg.

The family will be celebrating Deanna's life by wearing her favorite colors in place of traditional black, and we kindly invite you to join us in this heartfelt tribute. She especially loved shades of pink, purple, red, and red tartan print.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: The Network of Christian Counseling of St. Petersburg (web site needed) and in support of Dementia research - https://health.usf.edu/medicine/byrd/giving
