Deb Mangum Obituary
Deb is survived by her husband, Perry Mangum; children, Jaime Newling and Colin Fackler, and stepdaughter, Crystal Mangum; father, Ralph Osterberg; sisters, Julie (John) Bueter and Sarah (Troy) Inman; granddaughter, Serenity, step-grandchildren, Juliahna, Noah, and Rylan; sister-in-law, Linda Osterberg; many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Osterberg; brother, Paul Osterberg; grandparents, Mabel and Edward Teufert, Clara and Arthur Anderson, and Edward Osterberg.
Deb was born on June 27, 1956 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She married her beloved and devoted husband, Perry, on August 24, 2007. She loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas; hosting Sunday dinners and Packers game days; and spending summers with Perry at Waupaca S more Fun Campground. She was a gifted cook and baker whose recipes will be cherished. Throughout her life she also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafting, oil painting (under the moniker Gertie and playing the guitar. She was a mom to many very spoiled cats over the years; current kitties, Louie and Pepper, miss her already.
Deb was a gentle, joyful, and generous person with a heart of gold. She was employed at Humana as a Dental Prepay Specialist. She previously worked for many years at the former Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent) with her best friend forever, Barb Schroeder. She graduated from Hortonville High School in 1974.
Deb s family extends special thanks to the staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care. Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton, WI on September 10, 2022 from 8:30 11 AM with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 AM. Deb will be laid to rest at 1 PM at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh following the service. Food and refreshments will be served after the interment at Northside Bar & Grill in Oshkosh.
