Debbie & I had met in the latter 70's. I was working for Santa Barbara Datsun at the time and her parents owned the body shop across the street. WE became quick friends right off the bat. In fact later on in the 80's I rented the lil' place on Milpas (across from tri-County produce) with my daughter, from Al & Lucy. Gosh I loved that place.
I unfortunately left SB (going thru divorce...aingle mom). But, Debbie & I stayed in tough for the longest time. sadly, we lost touch for awhile, but I'm like the bad penny... I found her, again about a year & 1/2 ago. Although, I was saddened to hear of her serious health issues (we swapped stories), had good laughs....she was always so funny, not to to mention saucy like me.
We had spoke of getting together in the near future....but it wasn't in the cards.
I was very upset to get the call the other night from Ed telling me she had passed, as last she & I spoke was when I'd just gotten out of the hospital, latter part of November. she will always be dear to me. Miss you lifelong friend.
May she R.I.P. with Lucy, Al, Teddy etc. My heart goes out to Ed, the girls Taitlyn & Taryn (& their families)
