Debbie Hawkins Hammers

Debbie Hawkins Hammers, age 70, passed away on June 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is proceeded in death by her parents Charlie and Virginia Hawkins. She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Joey Hammers, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering love. Debbie is also survived by her sons, Josh (Meshia) of Gallatin, and Brian (Stephanie) of Vermont; her sister, Leigh Ann Thomason; niece, Ashley Thomason and her beloved grandchildren, Ansley, Atlas, Josh (Gabi), and Aaron. Debbie had a special love for the beach-her true happy place. The sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the sand beneath her feet brought her a peace and joy like nothing else. She will be greatly missed, but her love and legacy will forever remain in our hearts. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Debbie by spending a moment near the water, holding your loved ones close, and living each day with kindness and joy-just as she did.
