Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Jean Scott McCall, age 68 of Toccoa passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.
A daughter of the late Rufus and Louise Clark Scott, she was born March 14, 1956 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life. She was the Director at Mable Thomas Scott Senior Center in Toccoa for many years and later was a CNA and caregiver. She was a member of Toccoa Creek Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class and a member of the choir. She also served in Vacation Bible School, worked with the Women on Missions Group and served on the benevolence committee. She loved traveling, flying and taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Ricky" McCall.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Alisha Scott of Athens, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and DiAnne Scott of Highpoint, North Carolina; nieces, Paige (Brent) Flotkoetter and Carrie (Adam) Hodgin; nephew, Kevin Scott; great-niece and great-nephew, Alexa Flotkoetter and Ethan Flotkoetter; special cousins, Randall and Carolyn Scott of Carnesville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 19, 2024, 11 o'clock a.m. at Toccoa Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Joey Whitlock and The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Scott, Chip McFarlin, Brandon Terrell, Trevor Terrell, Derrick Bailey, Brantley DeLoatche and Jamie Young.
The family will receive fiends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Toccoa Creek Baptist Church, 1635 Falls Road Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Scott McCall.
Interment will follow in the Toccoa Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Deborah "Debbie" Scott McCall.
