Deborah (Debbie) Jean Gower Adams, 66, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, from diabetes related complications. Born on August 8, 1959, she was a longtime resident of the Lewisburg, TN, area. She left Lewisburg in 1985 to move to Centerville, TN, and returned home in 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Gower, and her adopted father, Bobby Joe Davis.
In retirement, Debbie happily collected tattoos, handed out trinkets to nearly everyone she met, and indulged in what she affectionately called “junking.” Her greatest love, though, was her cats: Emma, Jack, Rose, and the countless outdoor strays who found their way to her porch.
Debbie is survived by her daughter, Anissa D. Hazlett Jackson Garretson, and son-in-law, Rob Garretson, of Ball Ground, GA; two grandsons, Christopher Tony Jackson and his wife, Abby, of Chapel Hill, TN, and Jacob Dylan Jackson and his wife, Hannah, of Spokane, WA; and her sister, Brenda Hazlett, of TN.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lucky’s Cat House or Nashville Cat Rescue.
At Debbie’s request, a small family burial will take place at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN.
