Deborah L. Asher, 71, of Jackson passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born November 22, 1953, in Advance, daughter of Leonard and Maud Newell Garner. She and Gary Asher were married February 14, 2005.
Debbie was a 1972 graduate of Zalma High School. She worked at the Cape VFW, Rapco and Jackson Walmart. She loved to ride motorcycles, flower gardening and crafts. Debbie was a member of the War Child Motorcycle group that helps raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Missouri Veterans Home.
Loving survivors include her husband, Gary Asher of Jackson; son, James (Mary Ann) Hamlin of Advance; daughter, Ashlee Mayberry of Zalma; two step-children, Bob (Jesse) Asher of Jackson and Teri Kay (Alex) Pulido of Mexico; three grandchildren, Candace, Brody and Jameson; two great-grandchildren, Kai and Ren; three step-grandchildren, Zander, Matthew and Bellemy; and a brother, Rick (Brenda) Garner of Zalma.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
