Deborah Brock Obituary

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 1 PM in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Deborah was a lifelong resident of Pitt County, graduating from Winterville High School. She went on to attend Pitt Technical College. Deborah operated a childcare business out of her home for a number of years before opening up a seamstress business, which she ran for many years. She was also a longtime member of Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church. Deborah loved to sew and travel to the mountains, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Van Edward Brock, Jr.; parents, Marion Mae and Hilda Mills; and brother, Kenneth Grayling Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brock Winslow and husband, John; grandsons, Hunter Brock Winslow and Tanner Franklin Winslow, all of Greenville; step-grandchildren, Emily Paige Winslow and Caleb Gray Winslow of Jamesville; brother, Marion Edward Mills and wife, Debra; nephew, Michael Edward Mills; and great-nephew, James Michael Mills, all of Winterville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Maranatha Free Will Baptist Church, 1407 E 14th St, Greenville, NC 27858.
