Deborah Jean Campbell, 69, of Monroe passed away on March 27, 2021 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. She was born on December 11, 1951 to Alice Lee Sellers and the late Bill Griffin. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie Griffin who was killed serving in Vietnam and Gary Campbell, and sister, Teresa Swoop. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Monroe where she volunteered for dinners as she loved to cook. Deborah also loved to camp and enjoyed beach trips. She especially loved her family, grandkids, and great grandkids and supported all of her children in all of their sports programs.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 52 years, Ronald "Ron" Campbell; step-mother, Belle Campbell; sons, Bobby Campbell and wife Jill, Ronnie Campbell Jr. and wife Joy, Johnny Campbell and wife Starr, and Michael Campbell and wife Heather; sisters, Karen Whitaker and Delene Lyon; sisters in law, Georgia Speights and Patricia Abee; 16 grandchildren, Bobby, Brittni, Jacob, Aundrea, Karsen, Carter, Jack, David, Dustin, Wesley, Nova, Kaila, Isabel, Taylor, Steven, and Samantha; and 3 great grandchildren, Bentley, Blakeley, and Chloe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Monroe with Rev. Joe Haskett officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m - 12:00 p.m.. Interment will immediately follow at Sharon Memorial Park, Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3411 Weddington Rd, Monroe, NC 28110.
