Deborah (Debbie) Christine Brazzell Carpenter, 60, of Chester, South Carolina, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 23, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Rock Hill.

Debbie worked in shipping and receiving at Winthrop University for many years. She enjoyed her job as well as the friends she made along the way. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking family trips, going to the beach, and visiting her sister, Donna and her family in Virginia. Debbie loved cardinals and she knew when she saw one close that a loved one had come to visit her. She never met a stranger. Everywhere she went her big kind heart shined brightly and drew people to her. Her greatest joy was being called Nana/Nonnie by all the little babies of the family!

Debbie is survived by her daughter, Christina (Krista) Diane Carpenter of Chester, SC; son, William (Willie) Brent Carpenter Jr. and wife Shannon Lisaard Carpenter of Rock Hill, SC; and her grandchildren, Isaiah James Mobley, Lillian Lady Mae Carpenter, Haven Rhynn Coney, and Koa Charles Carpenter. She is also survived by her sister, Donna Delzer (Jeff) of Chesapeake, VA; her brother, Rick Carpenter (Delois) of Lancaster, SC, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members that she adored immensely.

She is preceded in death by her father, Michael David Brazzell and her mother Linda Diane Ferrell Brazzell, both of Rock Hill, SC, her brother, David Allen Brazzell of Rock Hill, SC, and infant grandson, Brenton James Mobley of Rock Hill, SC.

Service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Trinity Baptist Church Indian Land, 1519 Steel Hill Rd., Van Wyck, SC 29744.
