Deborah K. Hackman, 64, of Marlton, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Virtua Marlton Hospital. She was born in Drexel Hill, PA. Deborah graduated from Eastern University and was currently pursuing her master's degree from Wilmington University.
Deborah served on the Evesham Town Council from 2009-2018, and as Deputy Mayor at various points during that time. She was a high school chemistry and special education teacher for 10 years, most recently at Burlington County Institute of Technology in Westampton Twp.
Deborah was predeceased by her father, Alton Knauss, and her brother, Geoffrey Knauss. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, David Hackman; her daughters, Rachel and Abigail Hackman; her mother, Eleanor Knauss; her nephew, Zak Knauss (Brianna); and her great niece, Maddie Knauss.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Route 73 South and Evesham Rd, Marlton, NJ, and from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the funeral home. A service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Park View Cemetery at Kirby's Mill in Medford, NJ following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Deborah's name to Sports Unity at MRC; PO Box 159; Marlton, NJ 08053. (www.marltonreccouncil.org/sportsunity)
