Deborah Lynn Coughlan Hazlerig, age 66, was called home to be with the Lord on December 2nd, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. To everyone she was either Debbie or DD.Debbie was a well-known face around the Lauderdale and Tipton County areas. She was a familiar face, always greeting everyone with a smile.March 6th, 1982, was a cold and snowy day, but that was one of the most magical days of Debbie's life. This was the day that she married the love of her life and where the greatest journey began for Debbie. She even made sure that they threw bird seeds at the end for the safety of the birds. Debbie and Randy were married for 42 wonderful years filled with thousands of memories made. Debbie was blessed in 1985 and 1993 to what she would tell you were her most precious gifts in life, her sons, Jim and Blaine. She loved her family unconditionally and spent her entire life showing them. Being a mother to her two boys was everything to Debbie. From hundreds of photos taken over the years, homemade one of a kind birthday cakesevery year, all the way to always making sure that she babied her babies no matter how old they got.Debbie and Randy loved to watch the country music videos in the mornings prior to Randy leaving for work. She was a huge fan of Kenny Rogers. Debbie loved parties, and she enjoyed a good ole cookie swap. She made the best fruit cake cookies, and 30-day cakes at Christmas.Debbie loved the holidays and decorating for each one, everything had a certain place for each, and she even managed to squeeze in Randy's Coca-Cola decorations. She was possibly the proudest "DD" you ever met in your life. Those grandbabies were everything to her. No matter if it was a birthday or holiday, she always kept it even down to the penny between them. Her first grandbaby was McKinley, her "Sunshine," was just that. They spent many days having tea parties together, and those memories were priceless. Those tea parties were something that she enjoyed doing with her friends and family as well.Debbie loved being outside. The yard work was a thing that she enjoyed; you could drive past and catch her outside any day when the sun was out. From cutting the grass like a perfectionist to working in her flower beds, she had a green thumb for it all. She even used an old pair of scissors that were her Daddy's.She never lost faith in the Lord, and she knew that she wanted her family to be well prepared for when she was gone. So, in true Debbie fashion she had everything written out just as she wanted it. They would all say that was the type of loving person that she was or possibly just her stubbornness ensuring they did it her way. Either way, in the end she got, just as she wished, a celebration for her life that she lived to the fullest.Debbie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Florine Coughlin. She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Hazlerig, two sons; Jim (Sheena) and Blaine (Emily), five grandchildren; Carly, McKinley, Easton, Michael, and Maggie Sue, one sister, Dianne (David) Jones, one niece, Amanda (Brantley), one great-nephew, Jaxon, and one great-niece, Harper, and a host of other family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make memorials in memory of Debbie Hazlerig to any
