Deborah S. Heniscey, 72, of Muncie, formerly of Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, at IU Ball Memorial Hospital.
Deborah was born on May 27, 1953, in Union City, Indiana, to Larry and Martha (Welch) Midlam. On November 17, 1972, she married the love of her life, Dennis Heniscey, and together they built a life filled with devotion, hard work, and unwavering love.
Deborah dedicated many years to serving her community as a dispatcher with the Union City Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff's Department until her retirement. After retiring, she and Dennis owned and operated Best Flowers & Gifts in Winchester and D & D Do Drop Inn in Deerfield.
She was a talented crocheter whose handcrafted creations brought comfort to many. She also served proudly as a first responder with the Ridgeville Fire Department.
Deborah is survived by her daughters, Tori (Cody Doan) Pullins of Muncie, Heather (Roger) Staver, and Brittany Hicks both of Ridgeville; grandchildren Bryson (Jade Humes) Heniscey, Morgan (Elias Gates) Friend, Trey Pullins, Hayden Staver, Rayleigh Heniscey, Brooklyn Hicks, Brianna Staver, Eric McCollum, Zayden McCollum, Oakleigh McCollum, Roger Staver III, Lane Staver, Shawn Staver, and Hannah Staver; great-grandchildren Cohen Heniscey, Benny Heniscey, and Leighton Heniscey; sister Penny (William) Baughn; and several nieces & nephews.
Deborah is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Heniscey; her parents Larry and Martha Midlam; her sister Karen Midlam; and her brother Bruce Midlam.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Randolph Friends Church in Ridgeville. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Johnathan Edwards. Burial will be at Lawndale Cemetery, Ridgeville.
Memorial donations be made to the Ridgeville Fire Department or Randolph Friends Church.
Deborah will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her generous heart, community service, dedication to her family, and the warmth she brought to every life she touched.
