Deborah Hurley, 62, of Harvey, ND died on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Golden Acres Manor in Carrington after battling medical complications for many months.
Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Harvey, ND.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19 followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND
Deborah was born on September 21, 1962 in Valley City, North Dakota. She was the daughter of James and Nancy (Oberg) Lewis. At the age of three Deb moved with her family to Harvey grew up and graduated from Harvey High School in 1981. Deb married Chuck Hurley the love of her life on May 27, 1982. While living in Harvey she first worked at Town & Country Restaurant. She then took some time off to be a mom. Deb went back to work at the Pizza Palace in Harvey. Deb also worked at TJ Manufacturing, St. Aloisius Medical Center in housekeeping and the Harvey Eagles where she served as assistant manager for a time. She also worked at Cenex in Harvey where she was the C Store manager. In 2012 Deb began working for the Harvey Public School as a Para Educator where she was currently employed.
Deb enjoyed playing criminal case on her phone, reading books, and puzzles. Deb was also an avid Bison and Viking football fan. Spending time with her five grandchildren was the most important thing to her.
Deb is survived by her husband, Chuck Hurley of Harvey; daughters, Chris Hurley of Harvey, Kimberly (Brooks) Slaubaugh of Wolford, Ashley (Tyler) Reisenauer of Carrington; grandchildren, Abigail, Braxton, Charli, Grayson, and Joey; brother, Todd (Pam) Lewis of Mandan; step-mom, Stella Lewis of Harvey; nieces, Meagan Sharp and Dani Carlson; nephews, Derrick Lewis and Trevor Carlson.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark
