Deborah L. Klusmeier, born on March 7, 1955, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. During her life, Deborah demonstrated remarkable strength, especially during the battles she faced though the last year, leaving a legacy of resilience and love.
Deborah devoted over 25 years of her career to serving as a bank manager for Park Community Federal Credit Union, where she was a valued member of the community. Her professional journey was marked by dedication and a commitment to excellence, traits that endeared her to colleagues and customers alike.
In her personal life, Deborah cherished time spent with her family and her beloved fur babies. She loved traveling, especially to the beach, engaging in various house projects, and solving puzzles, all of which brought her immense joy. Deborah's family was her world, and she took great pride in being a mother to her daughters: Kristi (Wayne) Cahill, Heather (James) Pennington, Holly (Sunny) Klusmeier, and Stacy (Matt) Holland, as well as her son, Spencer Davis. She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and a great-grandmother to four.
Deborah was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Leroy Ronald Klusmeier, her first husband Kenneth W. Davis, Sr., her son Kevin Lee Klusmeier, her father Francis Lee McDonald, her mother Cleo Jane Prechtel, and beloved fur babies Harlee and Bailey.
She leaves behind her brother, David (Tammy) McDonald, and her cherished companions, Baby Girl, Benny, Bear, Chloe, and Taylor.
The community is invited to honor Deborah’s memory during a visitation on January 15, 2025, from 4 PM to 8 PM, followed by a memorial service on January 16, 2025, at 10 AM. Both events will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.
Deborah L. Klusmeier’s spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her, and her memory will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
