Deborah Lambert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Feb. 13, 2024.
On Sunday, February 11, 2024, Debbie Lambert of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life at the age of 70. Born Deborah Ann Scott in Norman, Oklahoma, on August 14, 1953, she was the daughter of Oleta Marie (Miller) Scott and Wayne Chilton Scott, both of whom preceded her in death. Debbie is also predeceased by one sister, LaWayne.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Richard Lambert, of the home; two children, Tonya Hokett and son-in-law Dale, and Scott Lambert, all of Moore, OK; three sisters, Sue Martin of Guthrie, OK, Elaine Kelly of Norman, OK, and Terri Straka of Oklahoma City, OK; along with two grandchildren, Brooke Bridgers and her husband Kyle of Oklahoma City, and Justin Lloyd of Moore, and two great-grandchildren, Bexton Bridgers, and Macklee Bridgers.
Debbie attended Moore High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. She retired from Johnson Controls after 31 years of service. Known by many for her great sense of humor, Debbie was very loving and kind, with a compassionate, giving heart. She had the soul of a caregiver, and this was most evident when it came to the people she loved. Sundays were her day for laundry and grocery shopping, and in addition to her own chores, Debbie could often be found cleaning and cooking for her family, and of course, lovingly doing their laundry. She was so incredibly good to her children, her grandchildren, and her friends.
When she was younger, she enjoyed dancing, being outdoors, riding horses and camping at Lake Arbuckle with family and friends. She also enjoyed listening to country music on the radio and drinking sweet tea and loved a good flannel shirt. One of her favorite things was spending quality time with the love of her life, Richard. The happy couple enjoyed going to dinner and trying new restaurants, they loved going dancing, and every year, they looked forward to going to the State Fair to sample all the incredible food. Debbie also enjoyed going on family vacations.
Family was everything to Debbie, and the happiness and wellbeing of the people she loved was her main focus in life. While her children were growing up, she was their biggest cheerleader and advocate, never missing their sporting events, plays, and extra-curricular activities, always supporting them, no matter what. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a true friend. She touched the hearts of so many with her kindness and care for others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
