Deborah Gail Yarborough Parker, 74, a lifelong resident of Guilford County, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at High Point Hospital. She was born on February 18, 1951, in Guilford County, North Carolina, and made her home in Jamestown, where she spent her entire life surrounded by family, friends, and community.

Deborah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Barry Parker, who passed away in 2017. They shared 47 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, dedication, and family. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Archie Floyd Yarborough, Jr. and Zethel Elizabeth Ferree Yarborough; her daughter, Meredith Leigh Parker; and her brother, Alan Yarborough.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Jason Parker and Golden Brad Parker; her brother, Keith Yarborough and wife Debbie; her sister, Robin Olivares and husband Leo; and her cherished grandchildren, Cameron, Chase, and Liam. Deborah is also survived by a large and loving extended family.

Deborah loved her family deeply and took great pride in being actively involved in her children's lives. She faithfully attended school activities and sporting events, always present and supportive. Time spent with her family was her greatest joy.

She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the beach, and treasured time spent crabbing at the Chesapeake Bay. Deborah was a fantastic card player who delighted in any kind of card game. She was also talented in crafts and sewing, passions she shared with a close-knit group of women who traveled together to destinations around the country centered on their love of crafting.

Professionally, Deborah worked for many years in the insurance field before later joining High Point Hospital, where she remained until her retirement.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale, North Carolina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation.
