Obituary of Deborah Ann Ross
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann Ross on April 21, 2023, at the age of 65. She passed away peacefully at her home in Milton, WA, with her husband by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Debbie was born on September 3, 1957, in Portland, Oregon, to Beth Joan Leisure and Martin Emmett Connolly. She grew up in the SeaTac area and attended McMicken Heights and Chinook Middle School. She graduated from Moclips High School in 1976.
On July 5, 1984, Debbie gave birth to her son, Derek Cook. Sadly, on May 14, 2005, Derek, just 20 years of age, passed away, breaking her heart. Debbie had recently retired from her long career at SOOS Creek Water and Sewer District, where she worked in the Payroll/Accounting department.
In 2003, Debbie met Rory Ross, whom she married and spent 15 happy years with until her passing. She is survived by her husband, mother, step-father, father, half-sister, step-son, step-daughter, and numerous others.
Debbie was a loving and caring person who found joy in spending time with those she loved. She had a passion for gardening, cooking, and baking cookies that people couldn't stop eating. Debbie's smile was infectious and brought happiness to those around her. She also enjoyed traveling and had a particular fondness for Maui, where she was married. She even discovered an island dedicated to another passion of hers: cats.
A memorial service for Debbie will on Saturday, May 6th 2023, at 10 am at the Faith Family Church, located at 1702 Milton Way in Milton, WA, for family and friends.
Debbie will be remembered fondly for her kindness, love, and devotion to those she cared about. Her passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her, but her memory will live on forever.
