Deborah Ann Stanton, Deb, Mama Deb, "D", Miece (Don's nickname for her), age 70, of Erie, passed away at her home on Thursday September 11, 2025. She battled multiple physical and mental illnesses and most recently lung and breast cancer for five months. She was born in Erie on August 25, 1955, a daughter of the late John P. and Alfreda (Suprynowicz) Dombrowiak. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald T Stanton in 2023; sister, Barbara Yusz; two brothers, Michael F. and John "Sunny" Dombrowiak and her baby girl, Maxine.

Deb was the first woman to work at Smith Meter, and later in her working life she took great pride in recovery and addiction counseling at the Refuge and Gaudenzia House. Deb enjoyed reading, crocheting, long rides, cooking and simply just sitting on the front porch with Don. She was a member of the SAGA Club, loved old westerns, watching tv with her son, spending time with her family and dogs and hanging with her best friend turned family, Katie Osborn and her children, Anthony (Lilandra), Joelean and Kaison who she considered, "like a grandson".

She is survived by her son, Ian Thomas Stanton; sisters, Kathleen (Eric) Bujnowski, Collette Prassack and JoAnne Tavernese; Nieces and nephews, Eric Bujnowski, Bryanna Bujnowski, Elyisa Wieczorek, Kari Prassack, Kimberly Tavernese-Bradley and Paul Damico; great-niece and nephew, Adelaide and Leon Marsden; and her dog Brutus.

In accordance with Deb's wishes, she will be cremated, and funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Brugger Funeral Home & Crematory 1595 west 38th St. To send condolences please visit www.bruggerfuneralhomes.com.
