Deborah Marie "Deb" Stapleton

Deborah "Deb" Marie Stapleton, age 66, of Eastland, TX, and formerly of Pampa, passed away Feb. 18, 2022 in Pampa.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Deb was born in Corsicana, TX, the daughter of Jesse and Faye Hardy who preceded her in death. The Hardy family soon moved to Pampa where Deb was raised and called home for many years. After high school, Deb worked for more than 20 years as a beautician.
Deb married the love of her life, Ronnie Stapleton, on June 19, 1981. Deb and Ronnie especially enjoyed many years traveling with their beloved Holiday Rambler Club. Deb and Ronnie shared 29 loving, happy years together before he preceded her in death in 2010.
In recent years, Deb moved to Eastland, TX, to be closer to her siblings but remained in regular contact with her many life-long friends from the Pampa area. She was also in constant companionship with her beloved rescue dog Kiki who, in Deb's opinion, saved her more than she saved Kiki.
Deb is survived by her goddaughter, Amanda Starnes of Pampa; a sister, Mayanna Frizzell and husband Greg of Eastland; two brothers, Steven Hardy and wife Susan of Eastland, and Andy Hardy of Pampa; a stepsister, Sharon Herrera of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
