Deborah Howard Thompson, 67, wife of Rickey Thompson, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on January 5, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. Deborah was born on December 11, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late John Jay Howard and Myrtle Mae Deboard Howard. Deborah was a member of the Northside Christian Church. She loved her antiques, and she enjoyed crafting, cross stitching, and cooking. Deborah adored her two dogs, Sadie Mae, and Beau Wallin, but most importantly, she loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with them, and she was the glue that kept her family together. She was an active volunteer at her church.
Deborah will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Rickey Thompson, her two sons, Rickey Benjamin (Weiyan) Thompson of Richmond, and Jesse (Amanda Ann) Howard Thompson of Georgetown, and her two grandchildren, John Minzhi Thompson, and Calloway Abraham Thompson. Besides her parents, Deborah was proceeded in death by her son, John Nikolas Thompson and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Nick Skinner, Gordon Wright, and Clinton Lane officiating. The burial will follow to Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Kentucky, 630 Kentucky Hwy 78, 40484, with Jesse H. Thompson, R. Benjamin Thompson, Harold Lawrence, Clinton Lane, Gordon Wright, and Tim Thompson serving as pallbearers and David Sowers serving as honorary pallbearer.
