Deborah Way Obituary

Born on June 23, 1951, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late John DeCarlo and Loretta Ostrander DeCarlo.
Deborah was an avid reader who loved knitting and crocheting, and she devoted countless hours to helping with and participating in church activities, including recently receiving her Bachelor of Divinity from the church. A lifelong learner with a generous heart, she found joy in giving to others and spending meaningful time with family and friends. She cherished trips to Maine, relaxing on the beach with a good book, and going on cruises.
Deborah worked for many years as a Legal Secretary for Grant and Lyons Attorneys before her retirement. On New Year's Eve in 1997, at Reach Out Church in Hyde Park, she married her husband, Raymond Way, who survives her.
In addition to her husband, Deborah is survived by her two sons, Joseph Daley and his wife Justina of Hyde Park, and Anthony Perry and his wife Erin O'Brien of New Windsor; her stepdaughters, Amanda Humphrey of Wappingers Falls, and Danielle Crudelle and her husband TJ of Catskill, seven grandchildren whom she adored, as her beloved fur baby, Dot Dot.
She is also survived by her sister, Christine Tamney and her husband Robert of Hyde Park; her brother, John DeCarlo of CT; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James DeCarlo.
A period of visitation will take place on November 29th from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Reach Out Church in Hyde Park, 241 Crum Elbow Rd., Hyde Park, NY 12538. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Hyde Park.
