Born on March 14, 1976, in Poughkeepsie, he was the son of the late Edwin and Margo Shackelton of
Lagrangeville, NY.
James had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also found great pleasure in cooking and was known for being the life of the party.
He is survived by his beloved children, James, Jonathan, and Trevor; sisters, Dawn Revelle, Tracey Perry and her husband William Perry, and Kellie Alexander, three grandchildren Aiden, Savannah, and Alexandra. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James will be remembered for his vibrant spirit and love of family and friends.
Burial is private and will be at the convenience of the family.
