Debra J. (Santos) Binning, 72, of New Bedford passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Boston Medical Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of William T. Binning, Jr.

Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Edward "Red" Santos and the late Eileen (Boyle) Santos, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.

Debra attended Bridgewater State College.

She was formerly employed by the New Bedford Police Department for over 24 years, retiring as a Sergeant in 2009.

Debra loved her cats, reading, going to the casino, going out to eat, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Lori Jean Fillion and her husband William and Kari A. Beaudry and her husband Michael; two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Lindsey Fillion; her brother, Edward J. Santos; her cousin Charlene Hochman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Ann Pacheco.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital at 35 Ventura Drive, North Dartmouth, MA, 02747-1244.
