Debra Marie D'Amico Coudriet, affectionately known as Debi, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by her loving family. After a valiant two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, Debi is now at rest.
Born in Akron, Ohio, Debi grew up in North Hill, Firestone Park and later graduated from Akron Springfield High School, where she was a proud member of the National Honor Society. She dedicated her life to being a devoted homemaker and was actively involved in numerous community and philanthropic causes. Her contributions to St. Hilary Church, as a member, altar server, and eucharistic minister, showcased her deep faith and commitment to service. As president of The Women's Committee of the University of Akron from 2021 to 2023, she demonstrated her leadership skills and passion for promoting women's initiatives. She also played significant roles in organizations like Women in Touch with Akron's Needs (WITAN), Stan Hywet Hall & Garden, The Akron Symphony, and Turkeyfoot Island Club, among others. Debi's involvement extended to various book clubs, Bible studies, and Parent Teacher Association committees at her children's schools.
Debi's legacy will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, strong faith, and innate kindness. Her Italian cooking, beautiful smile, and keen sense of humor touched everyone who knew her. She was admired for her strength, especially during her battle with cancer, and her vibrant joyful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met. In addition to her many interests, Debi also found time to be an active member of the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Center in West Akron, where she loved attending Zumba classes and even traveled to Punta Cana with her fellow gym friends. Debi cherished bringing her family together for holidays and events, and in private enjoyed sewing, reading, and relaxing with her favorite TV shows and movies.
Preceded in death by her father, William D'Amico (1977), sister, Susan Stalnaker (2017), and mother, Ann Catignani (2025), who passed just two days before her, Debra leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Coudriet; ex-husband Robert Kilivris; children, Michael Kilivris, Mathew and Jacqueline Kilivris; stepchildren Chad and Joanne Coudriet, Todd Coudriet, Tana and Rami Gadelsayed; stepgrandchildren: Kai and Kade Coudriet, Luca Gadelsayed; siblings: Daniel D'Amico, William and Beth D'Amico, Cynthia and Tony Arcuri; along with many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
